I’m Mike Lacey, and I have a deep passion for everything related to birds. As an avian biologist and a long-time birdwatcher, I’ve dedicated much of my life to studying and appreciating these magnificent creatures.
My journey with birds began in a rescue and rehabilitation clinic, where I had the privilege of working closely with a variety of bird species, helping them recover and return to the wild. This experience enriched my understanding of avian behaviour, health, and conservation, and fueled my passion for birdwatching and education.
Nowadays, my focus has shifted to raising my son and sharing the wonders of the avian world with him. Through this website, I aim to combine my professional expertise and personal experiences to provide a valuable resource for fellow bird enthusiasts, families, and aspiring birdwatchers.
